This age group will serve as an introduction to the game of Fastpitch while building gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Athletes will learn the rules of the game, proper throwing mechanics, and receiving skills. The structure will focus on teaching athletes to hit off coach-pitched balls, with the tee being used as needed to ensure success and confidence.

Games will consist primarily of coach pitch, followed by a controlled player-pitch inning to allow pitchers and hitters to develop in a supportive environment. Athletes will reinforce the proper foundations of hitting, throwing, and catching mechanics, while also learning positional play. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the rules, building confidence, and ensuring the experience is fun and engaging.

This division serves as an introduction to live game play with a focus on skill development and understanding game dynamics. Games will include coach pitch after a “walk” to encourage more on-field action and increase engagement. This league is a step above recreational-level play, emphasizing the rules of 10U and preparing athletes for full kid-pitch fastpitch games. Players will develop their skills while learning to apply them in live game settings, building confidence and readiness for further levels of play.
